Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, prepare equipment for physicians, and monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the emergency department. Explain emergency procedures to patients and families, document comprehensive assessments in electronic medical records, and initiate individualized education plans. Respond to life-saving situations while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers. Maintain strict adherence to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
