Job Summary
Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Administer prescribed medications and treatments while preparing equipment for physicians during emergency interventions. Monitor patient comfort and safety, responding to immediate needs and life-saving situations per emergency nursing protocols. Document comprehensive assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, specialists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive care. Initiate individualized patient education plans considering the acute nature of emergency care. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an ER RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
