Job Summary
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for electrophysiology lab patients, educate families on procedures and post-procedure care, and assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations. Administer medications per physician orders, monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics, and maintain sterile technique while troubleshooting equipment. Identify changes in patient condition, escalate care as needed, and provide immediate post-procedure monitoring. Requires one year of recent EP Lab Tech experience, BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certification. 13-week travel assignment in Dallas, Texas.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as an EP Lab Tech
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
- PALS or ENPC certifications
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
