Job Summary
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for electrophysiology lab patients, educate families on procedures and expectations, and assist physicians with studies, ablations, and device implantations. Administer medications including conscious sedation, monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics, and maintain sterile technique while troubleshooting equipment. Provide immediate post-procedure care, escalate changes in patient condition as needed, and collaborate on treatment plans while adhering to safety protocols. This 13-week travel assignment in Greensboro, North Carolina, supports cardiac mapping and specialized interventions within a dedicated clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as an EP Lab Tech
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
- PALS or ENPC certifications
- Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
