Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments for electrophysiology lab patients, document findings, and educate families on procedures and post-procedure care. Assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations while administering medications per orders and monitoring cardiac rhythms and hemodynamics. Maintain sterile technique, troubleshoot equipment, and respond to changes in patient condition by escalating care as needed. Collaborate with the care team to implement treatment plans and adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols. This role supports cardiac mapping and specialized interventions within the EP lab environment.

Required Qualifications

  • One year's recent experience as an EP Lab Tech
  • Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification
  • ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
  • Current ACLS certification
  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
  • PALS or ENPC certifications
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
