Job Summary
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for electrophysiology lab patients and document findings accurately. Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-procedure care to ensure informed consent. Assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations while administering medications, including conscious sedation. Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses throughout procedures, identifying and responding to condition changes as needed. Maintain sterile technique, prepare equipment, and collaborate with the care team to develop treatment plans. Provide immediate post-procedure care, monitor complications, and ensure stable recovery while adhering to safety protocols. This 13-week travel assignment in Fort Pierce, Florida, supports a dedicated clinical team treating heart failure, coronary artery disease, and cardiac arrhythmias.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as an Electrophysiology Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
