Job Summary
Respond to emergencies and administer pre-hospital care for IFT and 911 calls, coordinating with law enforcement and performing vital patient assessments. Deliver basic life support, conduct pharmaceutical interventions, and perform CPR during cardiac, toxicological, and neurological emergencies. Evaluate scene safety, document treatments and patient history, and relay information to receiving medical staff. Inspect ambulances and medical equipment to ensure vehicles are clean, sanitized, and fully stocked. Requires one year of EMT experience, NREMT certification, and AHA BLS certification. Compensation ranges from $30-33/hour with a $675 weekly housing stipend. Assignment is three to six months in Virginia.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years experience as an EMT
- National Registry: EMT (NREMT)
- American Heart Association: BLS (AHA BLS)
- Current Immunizations (MMR, Hep B, TDAP)
- Negative TB test within the last 12 months
- Must possess the flexibility to relocate
- Clinical agility to integrate instantly into new emergency response teams
- Proactive attitude toward shifting schedules
- Proactive attitude toward diverse patient demographics
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a busy 911 system as an EMT
- Average work tenure of three years
- Previous traveller experience with Best Practice Medicine
