Job Summary
Oversee ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development. Assist with performance management, monitor supplies and equipment, coordinate patient flow, and round with patients and families. Provide direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels. Address patient care concerns and escalate issues as required. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus one year of ED experience and previous supervisory experience. Available for 12-week assignments with days or nights shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
- PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Previous supervisory experience, required
