Job Summary

Oversee ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts while ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments; supervise, coach, and support staff development. Assist with performance management and HR activities, monitor supplies and equipment, and coordinate patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Address patient care concerns, escalate issues as needed, round with patients and families, and provide direct patient care when required to maintain safe staffing levels. Requires current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus one year of ED experience and previous supervisory experience. Assignment length is 12 weeks with pay up to $1,491–$2,067 gross per week, including a $3/hour differential.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
  • PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Previous supervisory experience, required
