Job Summary

Oversee ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manage staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development. Assist with performance management and HR activities, monitor supplies and equipment readiness, and coordinate patient flow for admissions, transfers, and discharges. Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience, providing direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels. Address patient care concerns and escalate issues as required. Requires a current RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus one year of acute care ED experience and previous supervisory experience. Assignment length is 12 weeks with pay up to $2,067 gross per week plus a $3/hour differential.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
  • Previous supervisory experience, required
  • PALS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
