Job Summary

Oversees ED operations and nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. Manages staffing, scheduling, and patient assignments while supervising, coaching, and supporting staff development. Assists with performance management and HR activities, monitors supplies and equipment, and coordinates patient flow, admissions, transfers, and discharges. Rounds with patients and families to support a positive experience, providing direct patient care when needed to maintain safe staffing levels. Addresses patient care concerns and escalates issues as needed. Requires current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus one year of acute care ED experience and previous supervisory experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Current and valid state RN License
  • Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
  • Minimum of one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting, E.D. setting required
  • Previous supervisory experience, required
