Job Summary
Provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients across various Illinois correctional facilities per contract needs, working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to address physical, psychological, and social patient needs. Maintain an active Illinois RN license, CPR/BLS certification, and obtain required security clearances, drug screens, and criminal background checks. Live at least 90 miles from the assigned facility. Full-time employment with opportunities throughout the country.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN with an active license to practice in Illinois
- Must live 90 miles or more from correctional facility
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/ BLS
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of work experience as an RN in a community outpatient clinic, hospital or long-term care facility preferred
- Corrections experience preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
