Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, critical care to patients in the intensive care unit. This role encompasses assessing and monitoring critically ill patients, operating life-support equipment, administering advanced treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The position requires strong critical care skills, advanced clinical judgment, excellent communication, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and professional ethics in high-acuity settings. Essential duties include assessing and monitoring patients, administering complex medications, operating advanced life support equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, documenting assessments and interventions, performing advanced hemodynamic monitoring, providing education to patients and families, coordinating with care teams, maintaining proficiency through ongoing education, adhering to infection control protocols, contributing to quality improvement initiatives, and performing other duties within scope.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent CVICU RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) and ACLS (AHA/ARC) certifications
