Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients in the CVICU, recognizing subtle changes in condition and responding promptly. Administer complex medications and operate advanced life support equipment while interpreting hemodynamic monitoring data. Document all interventions and communicate changes to providers, ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care and provide education to patients and families regarding recovery expectations.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an CVICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push
- Must be able to pull
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary)
