Job Summary
Assess and monitor critically ill patients, administer complex medications, and operate advanced life support equipment in a high-acuity CVICU environment. Perform and interpret hemodynamic monitoring, document all interventions, and provide education to patients and families regarding treatments and recovery. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize care while adhering to strict infection control protocols and quality improvement initiatives. Requires one year of recent CVICU experience, valid RN license, and current BLS/ACLS certifications for a 13-week travel assignment in Washington, D.C.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as an CVICU RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move about
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
