Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes. Prepare patients for procedures, explain the imaging process, and position patients appropriately while adhering to radiation safety standards. Set technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology, then provide high-quality images to radiologists for interpretation. Maintain equipment, troubleshoot functionality issues, and document patient information and procedural details accurately in the hospital system. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various facilities, perform other duties as assigned, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
