Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images of patients' bodies, preparing and positioning them for safety and accuracy while adhering to radiation safety standards. Set appropriate technical parameters to demonstrate anatomy and pathology, collaborate with radiologists for high-quality interpretations, and perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Document patient information and imaging details accurately in the hospital system, maintain proper protocols, and provide compassionate care throughout the imaging process. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across various healthcare facilities while working under pressure to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
