Job Summary
Operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue for diagnostic purposes while preparing and positioning patients for procedures. Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology, then provide high-quality images to radiologists for interpretation. Adhere to radiation safety standards and hospital policies to ensure patient and staff safety, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of CT equipment. Document patient information, imaging parameters, and procedural details accurately in the hospital's system. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services, and perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CT Tech practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
