Job Summary
Operate computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes, preparing and positioning patients while adhering to radiation safety standards. Set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology, providing high-quality images to radiologists for interpretation. Maintain equipment, document patient information and imaging parameters, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services. Adapt to different CT equipment and protocols across facilities, performing other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a CT Technologist
- Valid Radiology license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Critical thinking
