Job Summary
Conduct computed tomography scans by confirming patient identification, positioning patients, and administering radiocontrast agents to capture diagnostic images of internal organs. Evaluate scan quality for technical accuracy and interpret physician instructions while maintaining accurate patient records. Operate computerized tomography equipment safely in compliance with radiation protocols and utilize the McKesson PACS system for image management. Requires one year of experience, BLS, and ARRT (CT) certification.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- state-specific licensing when required
- sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
- ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- ability to bend, lean or stoop easily
- ability to understand and use the McKesson PACS system
