Job Summary
Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures while providing reassurance. Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions and appropriately position patients to scan specific body areas. Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues, administering radiocontrast agents as needed. Evaluate CT scans for technical quality and follow safety procedures when working with radiation. Maintain accurate patient records and utilize the McKesson PACS system. Requires 1 year of experience, BLS, and ARRT (CT) certification. 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- state-specific licensing when required
- sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
- ARRT (R) certification
- 2 Years of experience
