Job Summary
Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures while providing reassurance. Position patients for specific scans and use CT equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs and tissues. Administer radiocontrast agents as needed and evaluate scans for technical quality. Follow radiation safety procedures and maintain accurate patient records using the McKesson PACS system. Requires ARRT (CT) certification, BLS, and one to two years of experience. Includes 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, for a 13-week assignment in Tampa, FL.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience
- BLS certification
- ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography
- state-specific licensing when required
- sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
- ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- ability to bend, lean or stoop easily
- ARRT (CT) certification
- BLS certification
- 2 Years experience
