Job Summary
Travel Counselor responsibilities include providing professional assistance for incoming calls for service and sales, maintaining telephone etiquette, conducting outbound calls as needed, updating and maintaining reservation information per company guidelines, performing data-entry and quality assurance, collaborating with coworkers to achieve departmental goals, engaging with colleagues to understand processes and policies, and taking on additional projects as assigned. Must be available to work shifts within Contact Center hours (Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. ET). The role leverages strong communication, organization, and computer skills to support mature guests in planning travel and ensuring exceptional personal attention before, during, and after tours. Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years in a customer service environment
- Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to communicate to mature guests in a courteous, calm and empathic manner
- Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, team environment
- International travel experience (outside of North America) preferred
- Call/contact center experience a plus
