Job Summary
Provide emergency coverage for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a skilled nursing facility in Atlantic, IA, assisting patients with everyday life skills under a licensed Occupational Therapist's guidance. This temporary assignment supports a six-week medical absence for the facility's primary COTA. Candidates must hold an active Iowa COTA license and an associate degree in Occupational Therapy, with at least one year of experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred. Experience with ADL retraining and durable medical equipment assessment is advantageous. The role requires availability for short-notice deployment during this extended period.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college
- Active Iowa COTA license
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a COTA in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting
- Demonstrated experience with ADL retraining and durable medical equipment (DME) assessment
