Job Summary
Provide respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support to in-patients and out-patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs, and deliver intermittent therapy as ordered by a physician. Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures while reviewing and documenting all clinical information for each patient. Educate patients and co-workers on procedures and treatment plans, maintaining professional certifications and up-to-date technical knowledge. Requires two years of prior respiratory therapy experience with neonatal experience for this location, an associate's degree, and current state licenshop.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years prior experience
- Neonatal experience
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 2 years respiratory therapy
