Job Summary
Conduct respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for neonatal through geriatric patients. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, manage artificial ventilation, and analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs. Assist with changing artificial airways and deliver intermittent therapy as ordered by a physician. Review and document clinical information while educating patients and co-workers on procedures. Maintain professional certifications and attend staff meetings. Requires current RRT or CRT license, Associate's degree, and two years of respiratory therapy experience with neonatal exposure.
Required Qualifications
- CRT or RRT
- 2 years prior experience
- Neonatal experience
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 2 years respiratory therapy
