Job Summary
Conduct respiratory care treatment, oxygen services, and ventilation support for neonatal through geriatric patients. Monitor and wean oxygen therapy, analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs, and assist with artificial airway changes per physician orders. Perform routine and advanced therapeutic procedures while reviewing, documenting, and educating patients and staff on treatment plans. Maintain professional certifications and attend staff meetings as required. Requires two years of respiratory therapy experience with neonatal specialization.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years prior experience
- Neonatal experience
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- PALS
- Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- 2 years respiratory therapy
