Job Summary
Assess patient learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and group requirements. Communicate with the interdisciplinary team to delegate tasks, manage nursing resources, and lead patient care delivery using the nursing process. Adapt communication styles and procedures to specific patient populations while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards. Maintain knowledge of current regulatory requirements and report any compliance or safety concerns immediately. Perform duties involving exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications within a patient care area. Requires a current RN license in California, BLS certification, and 1 year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Registered nurse diploma
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement
- Registered Nurse - LA or Compact
- 1 year experience
Desired Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing
- Certification in clinical specialty area
- 2 year experience
