Job Summary
Provide comprehensive oncology nursing care in a hospital setting, ensuring adherence to physician orders and safety protocols. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress in electronic health records. Execute emergency procedures and respond swiftly to patient needs, demonstrating clinical proficiency and calmness under pressure. Educate patients and families on treatment processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions. This 13-week contract role requires a valid North Carolina RN license with at least one year of oncology experience.
Required Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license from the state of North Carolina
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- oncology-specific certifications
- Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Excellent communication skills
- ability to work independently
