Job Summary
Conduct intensive care nursing duties across three 12-hour shifts, managing patient populations while adhering to strict physical demands including frequent lifting of 50 to 100 pounds and exposure to blood and hazardous medications. Assess learning needs, implement teaching strategies for patients and families, and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to delegate resources and manage fiscal constraints. Maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and CPI, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements and demonstrating strong judgment under pressure. Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the job site and possess at least two years of ICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with ICU Experience
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification - 12 month blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute
- Valid RN license in the state of work
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
- Required minimum 2 year in ICU or CCU experience (intensive care or critical care)
- Must live >65 miles from job site
