Job Summary
Deliver ICU patient care across three 12-hour shifts, adapting communication styles to diverse patient populations and implementing the nursing process for optimal outcomes. Manage nursing team resources and delegate tasks while assessing learning needs for patients, families, and interdisciplinary groups. Utilize data to evaluate care and promote improvements, ensuring compliance with safety protocols regarding blood exposure and hazardous medications. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and CPI certifications while demonstrating strong judgment under pressure. Must reside over 65 miles from the job site and possess two years of ICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse with ICU Experience
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification - 12 month blue card from Crisis Prevention Institute
- Valid RN license in the state of work
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential
- Required minimum 2 year in ICU or CCU experience (intensive care or critical care)
- Must live >65 miles from job site
