Job Summary
Assess neonatal patients in the NICU, provide high-quality care tailored to each neonate's needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans. Administer medications, perform procedures, and manage emergent situations efficiently, while documenting all interactions and treatments accurately in compliance with hospital policies. Educate and support family members to ensure understanding of care plans and emotional comfort. This 13-week travel contract offers premium pay at rates 13% above market average with weekly direct deposit and next-day pay features. Comprehensive insurance coverage begins the first day, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and sick leave, with benefits maintained through seasonal breaks. Candidates must hold an active North Carolina nursing license or eligibility for verification, along with BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications, and possess at least one year of recent NICU experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license in North Carolina or eligibility for licensure verification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent NICU nursing experience
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days and nights
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
