Job Summary
Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy while independently operating equipment to complete all Card Cath procedures, including PPM, ICDs, peripheral, vascular, and IR work using radial and femoral approaches. Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate care, review images for diagnostic quality before transmission, and perform timely quality control procedures. Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding and adapt communication styles to specific patient populations. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws while assisting in departmental operations such as inventory and equipment maintenance. Requires 2 years of Cath Lab experience, an approved radiologic technology program, and current ARRT registration and license. Must live over 65 miles from the job site and work a flexible schedule including on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years experience required Cath Lab
- Rad Tech- LA or Compact
- Must live >65 miles from job site
- Must be able to complete ALL Card Cath procedures, independently, including PPM, ICD's, peripheral, vascular, IR procedures
- Must be able to perform radial and femoral approach
- Specialized skills include Impella, Penumbra, Inari, IABP, Angiojet, Rotoblator, Laser, ShockWave, CO2 commander, and more
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability) and travel throughout and between facilities
