Job Summary
The Travel Consultant role entails planning and organizing travel itineraries for clients, liaising with travel providers to secure the best deals and rates, and providing accurate information on travel regulations and visa requirements. You will process bookings using industry-standard software, assist clients with queries and complaints with timely resolutions, promote additional travel services to boost sales, stay up-to-date on industry trends, and ensure client information remains confidential and secure. The position requires strong customer service, clear communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with preferred foreign language proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality and tourism, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in the travel industry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Familiarity with office software programs and booking systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluency in one or more foreign languages is preferred
