Job Summary
Sells international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, travel itineraries, air, car, and hotel. Shares knowledge and expertise from personal experiences and/or education study trips. Develops long-standing relationships with members to build referral and repeat business. Makes appropriate recommendations to ensure the trip experience is tailored to member expectations. Cross-sells relevant products such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Card and identifies theft referrals. Requires high school diploma, ability to pass criminal background check and drug screening, and availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check
- Ability to pass a thorough urine sample drug screening
- Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- Computer savvy with the ability to navigate between multiple systems and web browsers
- Ability to use Microsoft Office
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
- Strong and very comfortable relationship with paperwork
- Ability to be organized
Desired Qualifications
- At least 2 years of successful retail sales or banking experience
- Leisure travel agency background
- Experience in a goal-orientated environment
- Passion for travel
- Strong sales drive
- Organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in navigating computers and various programs
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Interest to be in a continuous learning curve
