Job Summary
Travel Consultant role with AAA involves selling international and domestic travel packages (cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, and hotel), sharing knowledge from personal experience, developing long-standing member relationships, cross-selling products (e.g., AAA Member Rewards Credit Card, identity theft referrals), and meeting sales goals. The position emphasizes relationship-building, cross-selling/up-selling opportunities, comprehensive training, and potential leadership growth; requires strong sales drive, organization, multi-tasking, and proficient computer skills. Requires availability on most Saturdays and some evenings, plus a background check and drug screening. Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma is required
- able to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and thorough urine drug screen
- prefer at least 2 years of successful retail sales or banking experience or a leisure travel agency background
- must be available to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- computer savvy with ability to navigate between multiple systems and web browsers, Microsoft Office
- type at least 30 WPM
- strong and very organized with paperwork
- customer service and sales-focused mindset
