Job Summary
Sells international and domestic travel packages including cruises, land packages, itineraries, air, car, and hotel services. Shares expertise from personal experiences and develops long-standing relationships with members to build referral and repeat business. Makes tailored recommendations to enhance trip experiences and cross-sells relevant products such as AAA Member Rewards Credit Cards and identification theft referrals. Requires availability for most Saturdays and some evenings to support goal achievement. Completes the Travel Consultant Trainee program which includes some travel for training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass comprehensive criminal background check
- Ability to pass thorough urine sample drug screening
- Minimum of two years of sales experience in a performance-driven environment where success is measured by sales productivity
- Availability to work most Saturdays and some evenings
- Ability to navigate between multiple systems and web browsers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Typing speed of at least 30 WPM
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability and interest to be in a continuous learning curve
