Job Summary
Obtain patient chart information and assist the supervising Occupational Therapist in collecting evaluation data, seeking guidance for tasks outside your expertise. Modify short-term goals and adapt treatment techniques to meet individual patient needs, while administering prescribed Occupational Therapy programs using modalities such as therapeutic exercises, sensory activities, and self-care instruction. Discuss treatment plans with patients and families, complete clinical and billing documentation, and utilize provided technology to enhance client care. Adhere to Symbria's mission, Code of Conduct, and policies, ensuring full utilization of technology and maintenance of productivity standards. Available for 13-week internal contracts with monthly living stipends, this role requires your own transportation and willingness to travel to any location where Symbria provides contracted therapy services across 10 states.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
- A valid registered license is required for Symbria's operating states, or the ability to obtain a license or compact license to support assignments in any designated state
- If using a compact license, must have full license in your state of residence
- Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and basic math skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with strong focus on customer service
- Proficient use of computers and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Must be able to provide own transportation between patient visits and travel assignments
- Available and willing to travel to any location where Symbria provides contracted therapy services
Desired Qualifications
- Acute care, long-term care and/or rehabilitation experience (preferred not required)
