Job Summary
Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant in Detroit, MI for a 15-week assignment at 40 hours per week (8-hour shifts). Under supervision of an OT, deliver therapeutic activities, monitor and report patient progress, document performance, assist with exercises and mobility, educate patients and families to improve independence, maintain treatment areas, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team while complying with licensing rules.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- BLS certification
- NBCOT (COTA) certification
- state licensure required
- COTA National certification
- ability to lift and assist patients safely
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- knowledge of anatomy, motor function, and OT principles
