Travel Certified Medical Assistant

Job Summary
Travel daily by air or car to various clinic locations in Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. Lead and direct work of clinic medical assistants while interpreting and documenting patient visits and clinical charts in their entirety. Provide real-time EHR charting support for physicians, manage clinic flow, and handle phone calls to schedule appointments, check in patients, and update records. Prepare patients for examinations, take vitals, record health history, and manage inventory of medical supplies to equip exam rooms. Maintain confidentiality and ensure all forms and consents are completed. Requires 100% travel and an accredited medical assistant certification; preferred for those with specialty experience in outpatient EHR documentation.
Required Qualifications
- 100% travel required
- High school diploma or GED
- completion of an accredited medical assistance certification program
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and other external parties in a courteous and friendly manner
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Firm grasp on medical practices, administrative processes, and organizational policies
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
- Strong computer, typing, and listening skills
- Specialty experience in EHR documentation with outpatient clinics
- Strong leadership skills
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
