Job Summary
Monitor quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance; implement immediate care plan changes to promote patient safety. Conduct patient and family rounding, serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff, and provide direct patient care to maintain safe staffing ratios. Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments; supervise, coach, and evaluate staff while assisting with performance management. Ensure adequate supplies, equipment functionality, and inventory levels; coordinate with departments to support efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Oversee nursing staff and patient care during assigned shifts. Requires current and valid state RN, BLS, and ACLS certifications, plus one year of supervisory experience in an acute care CCU setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Previous one year of supervisory experience, in acute care hospital, CCU setting required
- Minimum of one year staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; Critical Care setting required
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain
