Job Summary
Oversee nursing staff and patient care during assigned shifts in the Coronary Care Unit, ensuring safe staffing ratios and immediate care plan changes for patient safety. Monitor quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance while conducting patient and family rounding to enhance the experience. Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff, and manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments to support daily unit operations. Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff, assist with performance management, and ensure adequate supplies and equipment functionality. Coordinate with departments for efficient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Requires current and valid state RN license, one year of supervisory experience in acute care or CCU, and minimum one year as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital with critical care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Previous one year of supervisory experience, in acute care hospital, CCU setting required
- Minimum of one year staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; Critical Care setting required
- Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain
