Travel Cath Lab Tech

Job Summary

Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures. Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, perform sheath removal and hemostasis, and maintain accurate documentation of patient records and equipment logs. Operate specialized imaging equipment, ensure adherence to infection control protocols, and comply with radiation safety guidelines. This 13-week travel assignment in Parkersburg, West Virginia requires one year of recent Cath Lab experience, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and either ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification. Required Qualifications

  • One year's recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
  • Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
  • ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
  • Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
  • Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
  • Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
  • Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
  • Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
  • PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certifications
