Job Summary
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies. Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, and stents while operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Maintain sterile fields, perform sheath removal, and ensure compliance with radiation safety and infection control protocols. Operate specialized imaging equipment, manage inventory, and maintain accurate documentation of patient records and logs. This 13-week travel assignment in Benton, Arkansas, offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Candidates must hold recent Cath Lab experience and current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT/RCES certification.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
Desired Qualifications
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations
- PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC Certifications
