Job Summary
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies. Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, and stents while operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Scrub in for sterile field setup, perform sheath removal and hemostasis, and maintain accurate documentation of patient records and equipment logs. Adhere to radiation safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and hospital policies throughout the 13-week assignment in Stanford.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
- Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
- Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
- Critical thinking
