Job Summary
Conduct assessments of patients prior to cardiac procedures, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams. Assist physicians during interventions by positioning patients, placing catheters, wires, and stents, and operating hemodynamic equipment to monitor cardiac rhythms. Manage sheath removal using closure devices or compression, then transport patients to recovery while monitoring vital signs and ECG parameters. Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment to ensure full functionality and proper stocking. Communicate effectively with the clinical team, patients, and families to ensure seamless care adherence to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
