Job Summary
Conduct patient assessments prior to cardiac catheterization, including reviewing medical history and performing physical exams. Assist physicians during interventions by positioning patients, placing catheters, wires, and stents, and operating hemodynamic equipment to monitor cardiac rhythms. Manage sheath removal and transport patients to recovery while maintaining strict safety and infection control protocols. Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment to ensure full stocking for procedures. Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families to provide seamless care.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Critical thinking
- Service excellence
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
