Job Summary
Conduct cardiac catheterization patient assessments, prepare individuals for procedures, and assist physicians during interventions involving catheters, wires, balloons, and stents. Monitor hemodynamic equipment, vital signs, and ECG parameters while recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms. Support post-procedure care by managing sheath removal and ensuring smooth transitions to recovery. Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment to ensure full functionality for procedures. This 13-week travel assignment in Owensboro, Kentucky, offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and support from a dedicated clinical team.
Required Qualifications
- One year's recent experience as a Cath Lab RN
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position
- Must be able to move equipment (50-100lbs)
- Must be able to push, pull, and bend
- Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel
- Must be able to present a positive attitude and professionalism
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers
- Must be able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally
- Must be able to work without assistance from other personnel
- Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally
- Must be able to maintain continuous concentration to detail
- Must possess visual acuity
- Must be able to effectively communicate
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
- Ability to follow verbal instructions
- Proficiency in PC skills
Desired Qualifications
- PALS or ENPC Certifications
- RCIS certification
