Travel Casual Tactical Healthcare Security Officer

Monitor the Emergency Department, manage aggressive behavior from visitors or patients, and conduct rounds in waiting areas. Respond to alarms, Code White, and Code Silver situations while utilizing verbal de-escalation techniques to resolve incidents. Assist clinical staff with patients exhibiting abusive language, threats, or fall risk, including sitting with high-risk individuals awaiting permanent coverage. Provide security presence throughout the ED, oversee patient watch guards, and perform ID checks on site visitors. Write reports investigating routine incidents and communicate suspicious activities to the dispatch team. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, prevent violence or theft, and assist with patient restraints as directed. This As Needed position requires standing up to 12 hours, walking, and running to respond to code calls. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and willingness to travel to hospital sites in Sydney, Inverness, and surrounding areas.
