TRAVEL CASE MANAGER Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Summary

Conduct assigned Safety Verification Initiative field visits at residential addresses to validate child residence, living arrangements, and sponsor suitability. Observe and document potential indicators of abuse, neglect, abandonment, trafficking, or exploitation, then report refusals, no-access grants, and location changes per protocol. Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding child safety, stability, or well-being issues. Perform home visits up to 70% of the time while managing time effectively and working independently. Requires fluency in Spanish, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass FBI and state background checks. Schedule involves 90% short-notice, overnight, and multi-state travel with early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or Sociology, or other social service field, with particular focus on child and adolescent development
  • At least 21 years of age
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children, vulnerable population, or refugee population
  • Experience in case management, social services, child welfare, family services, refugee/immigrant services, community outreach, behavioral health, or related human services work
  • Crisis intervention skills
  • Deescalation skills
  • The ability to recognize indicators of abuse, neglect, abandonment, trafficking, exploitation, or other safety concerns
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Ability to do home visits up to 70%
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be available to drive as required for the position
  • Must be able to pass an FBI background check
  • Must be able to pass a CA/N check for every state in which they have resided in the last five years
  • Hybrid remote/in office work

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience conducting home visits, field interviews, safety observations, or community-based service delivery
  • Knowledge of, and experience working with refugee or immigrant children
